Oh, wouldn't it be cute to have her in her cowboy outfit from "James and the Cold Gun", or her lion costume for "Lionheart", or better yet flapping about in her bat outfit from Never Forever. I had the pleasure to watch Glenn Tilbrook (of Squeeze fame) last night at the local arts centre.
Excellent set with a great atmosphere an interaction between performer and the audience.......... and vice versa.

All the songs went down well but especially those Squeeze hits.....Up The Junction, Another Nail In My Heart, Pulling Mussels From A Shell, Annie Get Your Gun,Take Me I'm...

...is surprisingly a solid album. I hate to swallow my pride as I've disliked everything she's done to this point (with the exception of Umbrella, I admit it's a good pop single) but this reminds me a lot of Madonna's Erotica and Janet Jackson's The Velvet Rope (though nowhere near as good as those). A very good dark album, pleasant surprise. Lead single Russian Roulette, Rude Boy, and Cold Case Love are must-listen.

Elizabeth Fraser has anounced that she is finally to release a new single called 'Moses'. It's released as a tribute to Jake Drake-Brockman (of Echo & The Bunneymen) who died recently in a motorbike accident. The 3 tracks are available to download from all the usual MP3 retailers, and a limited edition 12" vinyl single is also available via Rough Trade.

For those asking 'who' .... Liz was the vocalist with 80's & 90's indies group Cocteau...

Bad news this albums was released in oz last week and I'm afraid a "filler alert" stickier should be attached . Worthwhile tracks are Wild Horses, Dreamed a Dream, Cry Me A River and the only previously unexposed track - a real surprise -Madonna's "You'll See" The rest is so bland . What a criminal waste of potential!

I went to see them last Friday and she was amazing! Sang so many great songs, excluding Stay, and she looked absolutely fantastic!

Her new album is called 'Songs from the Red Room' and is great if you're into smutty electro.
