If you love Prince as much as I do, and particularly his amazing and totally nuts song "The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker", this is a really fascinating article. Susan Rogers, his engineer for some of his most groundbreaking albums in the 80s and now a psychologist and lecturer, kicks her lecture off by talking about how Kate records her vocals:

Very interesting. Thank you! I would love to know how she has recorded her vocals from Aerial on.

I watched the whole interview (2.5 hours) on YouTube. Susan is absolutely fascinating to listen to. The interviewer plays Running Up That Hill halfway through to get Susan's take on it. She praises it lyrically and talks about how Prince loved the drum pattern and that he was playing the HOL album a lot in the studio - presumably around the time he was recording material for the Parade album.
