You can tell a lot about someone by their shoes! So to get the ball rolling here are the ones that I wear most often excluding the ones I wear to work! Outside work, usually in a pair of Merrells: At work something form the Vegetarian Shoe Company: Shame they don't make DMs anymore (they used to buy in the soles form DM, but got into an argument about their use of child labour. For heavier use tend to go for Walking boots from the Veg Shoe company these days:

Is their production more enviromentally damaging than production of leather shoes ? Ditto for disposal / destruction ? Just interested ... He had no grand scheme, no strategy, no agreement with higher authorities, nothing beyond a vague longing for glory and a generalized wish for revenge.

Assume you are talking about the man made material shoes, rather than cotton based trainers or baseball boots

That isn't limited to shoes btw as I look around the room and am hard pressed to see much which doesn't!!

It is a $+@#@ buying shoes. I also have a boxy foot, so finding something wide enough to squash in my hoof is hard. Now, as for the vegetarian leather business, the chemicals used to create synthetic leathers are pretty awful. Plastic is not the way forward for shoes. At least not until we can synthesize plastics using water based chemicals that have the durability and properties of natural leather. However, Mike, it is nice to see a non-leather wearing vege. People that sit there saying how cruel it is to eat meat, while paying for their over-priced goats cheese salad using the AMEX withdrawn from a LV handbag .... HA! ...there ain't a single night, when I haven't held you tight... ...but its always inside my head, never inside my bed...
