My mum suffered from breast cancer two years ago and I used to listen to a lot of Kate then. The new versions of MoP and TWW leave me sobbing, but there are a couple of other songs - or rather LINES in those songs - that bring tears to my eyes everytime I hear them. Often they are tears of pure joy as well. Some examples: "You want alchemy" when the old beekeeper says "And if you see them send them right on home to me." "Sunset": "If the skies stay dark we will live on in comets and stars." "Hello Earth": "All you sailors... all you cruisers... all you fishermen, head for home." - Can't say why here, though!

Wildman - the beautiful guitar is so sad.....I really love this song.

I love Moving. Snowed In At Wheeler Street. For some reason when the "9-11 in New York" line comes up it gets me, even though I am not from New York, it's the way that the music mellows out as she sings it. And especially the piano chord that hits in time with the bass at 5:04 in the song. Certain musical cues can send me into emotional fits. Probably the musician/songwriter nerd in me. It's too much for me to handle. I love Moving. Exactly. While I can't personally related to the subject matter itself, Kate sort of "invited" me to that zone and made it possible for me to empathize. It's just impossible for me to be unmoved (pun intended) whenever I hear this song.
