Thanks to the estimable people on the Anneli Drecker
forum, here are Margaret Berger and the delectable Anneli Drecker (from Bel Canto) covering "Don't give up" as guests on Idol gir
tilbake, the Norwegian charity spinoff of the Idol TV show.

Nice that Yuku allows the imbedding of Youtube videos!
It's a nice if unusual version, and great to see Anneli Drecker - I really loved Bel Canto's Birds of Passage from - yikes - almost twenty years ago. Still, as pleasant of Anneli's vocals were, they did make me think once again that Kate's performance was truly brilliant and inimitable. Zeb |

Nice, but a bit pedestrian for me. There's something about the whole Idol concept where the producers feel the need to take songs and turn them into
treacle. Great to see Anneli.

I love Anneli's voice and she did great things with Bel Canto but that cover of Don't Give Up is just, er, boring....
