Opening in June, The Ledge, a series of four glass boxes that extend from the building's 103rd floor, will give visitors unobstructed views of the Chicago streets 412 metres below. Protruding from the tower's west side, each box will accommodate up to five people. Groups of 20 or more will be able to claim reduced entry to the Skydeck, including The Ledge when it opens. I remember the first time I went up the CN Twer when I was 9 - scared sh*tless. Didn't do it again until I was about 30. On a clear day, damn good view though. When I was a university student I actually worked for a year and a half at the CN Tower, much of the time operating those elevators. Can't count how many times I've been up and down but it was always fun. Didn't have glass floors in my day, though. W

It looks very twee compared to the other towers here. Only 170 metres tall but I couldn't even stand over the glass viewing floor because it set my vertigo off! why do I fucking bother
