^ Some highly dubious choices there Steve!
Here's a Kate compilation with a different theme:
Frankly, sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion! |

Pretty clever theme Stev and they all look relevant to me
1. James and the Cold Gun ... American gangsters 2. Pull Out the Pin ... American soldiers in the Vietnam war 3. Houdini ... American escape-artist 4. Cloudbusting ... American psychoanalyst and wannabe rainmaker 5. Hello Earth ... American astronauts, American storms 6. Why Should I Love You ... American funkster formerly known as... 7. King of the Mountain ... American rock'n'roll god 8. The Man I Love ... by American composer Gershwin |

Moments Of Pleasure--with references to New York (though none of the people referred to AFAIK are American)

Realizing I'm making some rather tenuous connections here, I might add, "There Goes a Tenner," for playing at being American gangsters as acted
by "Edward G. [Robinson]" and "George Raft."
"Hammer Horror?" Sure, it refers to British Hammer Studios, but wasn't it inspired by a viewing of MAN OF A THOUSAND FACES about American actor Lon Chaney Sr. as played by James Cagney, and, in particular, the scenes of Cagney re-enacting some of Chaney's most famous roles? Then there's "Get Out of My House" so closely inspired by a book/film about a haunted U.S. hotel, not to mention the inclusion of a "Creole" concierge. And now that I think on it, wasn't "Mother Stands for Comfort" also inspired by a Stephen King story-turned-film with a U.S. setting? "Delius" might work, too, given the time he spent river-boating in north America and the influence it had on his music. Hmm...may have gone too far lol gg |

I thought about "There Goes a Tenner", except we don't have ten shilling notes.

I think "Top Of The City" should be included too, since the song is clearly set in New York.

I think "Top Of The City" should be included too, since the song is clearly set in New York. I always pictured it being set in Berlin, what with those Wings of Desire references. Maybe it can go with "Coffee Homeground" on her German album.

Sure, why not? Start a French album and put it there, too. gg |

Ooh, I forgot all about Kate's "Sexual Healing". Thanks a lot, now I have to work to try and forget it again.
And Candle in the Wind definitely works (it's about an American actress).
