Anyway, I guess I'm 50/50 when it comes to believing/accepting the paranormal though I'm really intrigued by the whole thing. Tonight, Mr Kinsal went to bed early as he was feeling a bit achey, I went up just now to see how he was and he said to me he could smell tobacco smoke in the bedroom which was quite strong. As neither of us smoke I instantly had shivers down my back and said jokingly that perhaps my Dad was here or my Mother who have both been dead now for 10yrs and 4yrs respectively. I remember having a very similar experience at the time when my Dad's first anniversary was approaching but not so much with my Mother's although the cats do do what cats do sometimes and just stare for no reason and look as though they are following something in the room with their heads but thats another story. What questions tonights phenomena for me is that there's no anniversaries to do with either parent except my Mothers' birthday on Oct 9th. So, I was just wondering if you have any thoughts on this or your own experiences. Kins x www.deeper-understanding.co.uk

He died in '90, and I've dreamt of him several times since, the strange thing was that over time, he returned to the physical state he was in before he became so ill. I do believe that a part of us lives on, and that we pick up on things. I certainly do, although I used to be more sensitive than I am now. Maybe your parents just fancied a little trip? I don't know why this would be the moment for them to come visit, and most of the time I really don't think about these things anymore, but sometimes it an experience like this can be so overwhelming!

My dad loved stuff like this and I think if he was able to prove to me that there was something in it then he would take great delight in sending me some proof ... so far he never has, as far as I know ! If anything, I get more signals and 'signs' that I attribute to my friend Eileen, who passed away 10 years ago. I associate sunflowers (her favourite) with her and robins ! She was someone I really relied on for great advice when I was feeling a bit lost and, if that happens now, very often a robin will pop into view or an image of a sunflower will randomly appear - honestly ! It's a comfort to know that she's still 'around' ... ----------------------------------------------- Watch out! They get you while you're sleeping!

At the time I never questioned it, it just seemed completely normal. 'Oh, there's dad again'. I don't believe in an afterlife, and he did even less so. I never saw it as a paranormal/Twilight Zone thing. It just felt like that's what your dad does when he dies, he hangs around for a while. *Always you bring me pie! Why you bring me pie??*

I froze like if I crossed a zombie. Re-mastering good old albums is like photoshopping Mona Lisa.

As this usually meant she wanted to go outside, I got up to let her out, only to remember she died a few weeks earlier.

My mum's cat, Buru, was put to sleep over a year ago. She used to catch birds or mice in the middle of the night and eat them inside, on a coconut rug. Would drive my mum nuts as she could hear the cracking of bones, and had to take care of left over feathers the next morning. One morning, a few weeks after Buru was put to sleep, my mum found a feather lying smack in the centre of that rug. Out of nowhere. As if Buru was trying to say that she was well and had caught her first angel...

This incident occurred a couple of years after his death when we were camping as a family in the New Forest. My father, my brother and myself had gone off for a walk and mother was sitting outside the tent reading when she looked up and there he was ... Funny about the tobacco smoke thing. A few years ago I used to get the smell of it in the car shortly before some incident occurred (like some nutter trying to run you off the road) - we used to refer to it as a warning from my dad.
